## Overview

The **Vehicle Downtime Detail Report** is the work-order-level companion to the Vehicle Downtime Report. Where the summary report tells you how many total hours each vehicle spent out of service, this one shows you every individual work order behind those hours — one row per completed work order, with the exact start and stop timestamps that drove the calculation.

Pull it when you need to go from "this truck was down 84 hours last month" to "here's the work order that took three days, and here's why."

## How Downtime Is Calculated

Just like the summary report, downtime is calculated from two fields on each work order:

- **Vehicle Received for Service** — the date and time the vehicle was dropped off
- **Completed** — the date and time the work order was marked complete

The difference between those timestamps is the downtime for that work order. Both fields must be filled in for the math to work.

## How to Get Started

Make sure your team is capturing both **Vehicle Received for Service** and **Completed** on every work order — without those, there's nothing to calculate. Then, from the **Report Portal**, run the **Vehicle Downtime Detail Report**.

## What the Report Shows

The report lists every completed work order in the date range, with:

- Vehicle identification and department
- Work order number and description
- Vehicle Received for Service timestamp
- Completed timestamp
- Downtime hours for that work order

Because each work order is its own row, the report gives you the drill-down story behind any downtime total — useful for root-cause analysis, vendor conversations, and investigating vehicles that are spending too much time in the shop.

## Filtering and Exporting

From the Report Portal, you can:

- **Filter by department** to narrow the report to a specific team.
- **Filter by date range** to scope to a specific period.
- **Export as PDF** for a printable record.
- **Export as CSV** when you want to analyze downtime patterns in Excel.

## Automating Delivery

Use the schedule icon on the report card to set up automatic delivery — daily, weekly, monthly, or whatever cadence works. Pick your recipients and EKOS will send it out.
