## Overview

The **Technician Efficiency Report** answers a question every shop manager has asked at some point: who's beating their estimates, who's blowing through them, and where are the patterns? For every technician, it compares the **estimated time** on each work order against the **actual time** spent — giving you an efficiency picture at the work-order level and rolled up per technician.

It's the report behind coaching conversations, bay assignments, training plans, and productivity reviews. The numbers don't replace judgment — but they give the conversation a solid starting point.

## How to Get Started

From the **Report Portal**, run the **Technician Efficiency Report**. Pick your date range, apply any filters, and export.

## What the Report Shows

Grouped by technician, the report pulls in every work order they completed in the date range and compares:

- **Estimated time** — the labor time estimated when the work order was created
- **Actual time** — the time the technician actually spent
- **Efficiency metrics** — the ratio or variance that tells you whether the tech came in over, under, or on estimate

Each technician section shows individual work orders so you can see the detail behind the overall number, making it easier to spot specific jobs that drove an outlier result.

## Filtering and Exporting

From the Report Portal, you can:

- **Filter by date range** to scope the report to a specific performance period.
- **Export as PDF** for one-on-one reviews or team meetings.
- **Export as CSV** when you want to analyze patterns over time or combine with other performance data.

## Automating Delivery

Shop managers often run this monthly. Use the schedule icon on the report card to automate it — pick your cadence, choose recipients, and EKOS will send it out on schedule.
