## Overview

The **Part Usage Report** tracks which parts are actually getting consumed in the shop — ranked by the ones you're using the most. For a given date range, it rolls up part consumption across every work order in the system, so you can see at a glance what's moving off the shelves and what isn't.

It's the report behind smart reorder decisions, vendor negotiations ("we go through 300 of these a month — can you do better on price?"), and any conversation about which parts deserve front-row shelf space.

## How to Get Started

From the **Report Portal**, run the **Part Usage Report**. Pick your date range, apply any filters you need, and export.

## What the Report Shows

For each part used during the date range, the report shows:

- Part number and description
- Total quantity used across all work orders
- Ranked from most-used down

Because it's ranked by consumption, the top of the report tells a quick story: these are the parts the shop is burning through right now.

## Filtering and Exporting

From the Report Portal, you can:

- **Filter by date range** to pull usage for any period.
- **Export as PDF** for a summary view of top-used parts.
- **Export as CSV** when you want to analyze usage patterns or feed the data into purchasing decisions.

## Automating Delivery

If parts managers review usage regularly, use the schedule icon on the report card to automate delivery — pick a frequency, choose recipients, and EKOS will email or FTP it on that cadence.
