Part Kits are managed from the **Parts → Part Kits** section in Fleet.

---

## Open the Part Kit Creation Screen

You can create a Part Kit in two ways:

- Go to **Fleet → Parts → Part Kits**, then click **Create Part Kit** in the top right.
- Or, from the Parts icon in Fleet, select **Create Part Kit**.

This opens the **Create Part Kit** screen.

---

## Enter Part Kit Details

At the top of the screen, you’ll see the **Part Kit Details** section.

**Name**

Enter a clear, descriptive name.

Examples:

- Light Duty Truck Oil Change
- Diesel PM – A Service
- School Bus Annual Inspection

**Tip:** Use specific names. When assigning kits later to vehicles, service items, or work orders, a descriptive name makes it easier to select the correct kit.

**Description**

Add additional detail about what the kit is used for.

This can help other users understand:

- When the kit should be used
- What type of vehicle or service it applies to

---

## Add Parts to the Kit

In the **Add Parts** section, you will:

1. Search for and select a part.
2. Enter the **Quantity**.
3. Click **Add Part**.

**Why Quantity Matters**

The quantity you enter here will:

- Prefill on the work order when the kit is added.
- Indicate how many of that part are typically required.

For example:
If a vehicle takes 5 quarts of oil, enter 5 — not 1.

This ensures the correct amount is automatically added to the work order.

You can always adjust the quantity later on a specific work order if needed. The kit simply provides the default.

**Important: Make sure you click “Add Part”**

After entering a part and quantity, make sure you click **Add Part**.

You’ll know it worked when the part appears in the table on the right side of the screen.

If it does not appear in the table, it has not been added to the kit yet.

Repeat this process for each part you want included.

## Editing or Removing Parts

Once a part appears in the table:

- Click **Edit** to change the quantity.
- Click **Delete** to remove the part from the kit.

This allows you to adjust the kit before saving.

---

## Save the Part Kit

Once all parts have been added:

Click **Create Part Kit**.

Your kit is now saved and ready to:

- Be assigned to vehicles
- Be assigned to service items
- Be added to work orders

---

## What Happens Next?

After creating your kit, the next step is typically:

- Assigning it to a vehicle
or
- Assigning it to a service item

This is what allows the kit to be used on work orders.
