# Quote Manager

The Quote Manager grid shows you all quotes you have in your system and per site. View the following key details:

- Effective Date
- Fuel Site
- Supplier
- Product Description
- Rack City
- FFI Price
- Quote
- Difference

# Add Quotes

Quotes play an important role in the customers bulk fuel buying process. This allows the fleet manager to load in competitive pricing provided by the suppliers. The fuel purchaser can then select the most competitive price on the buy now page once they are ready to buy.

1. Choose Fuel Site and Date

# Upload Quotes

Loading in competitive pricing by your suppliers only takes seconds. In the bulk fuel module go to quotes > upload quotes. Once you are in here add in a date, select a supplier from the dropdown menu and add your file quote and then click upload. This will be helpful in keeping track of your quotes.

# Spreadsheet

EKOS provides a daily spreadsheet to show all your quotes assigned by date. To choose a specific date, type in which date you want to see in the upper left-hand corner and click “go”, this will populate the page with any quotes uploaded on that specific day. This is helpful in looking back to view quotes you have previously uploaded into EKOS. This spreadsheet can be exported to excel by clicking on the “export to excel” button in the top right-hand corner of the page.

# EKOS Index Lookup

The EKOS index lookup is valuable for users in looking up products by date and site.

STEP 1

Choose a date that you want to look up, based on the date of fuel purchases. If the time the fuel was loaded is after 6 pm, please select the next day. Then click a site from the dropdown menu, this includes only your sites with tanks that are enrolled in the EKOS index. Upon choosing a site, the site address, home rack, rack network, and tanks and products will be automatically populated.

STEP 2

Choose the product you want to look up from the dropdown menu, this is a list of all products and alternative products at the respective site chosen in step one. Following this, type in the margin and click lookup to view the product. The fair fuel index data will be displayed upon clicking the lookup button.

# DTN Rack Average Grid

A DTN is a service that specializes in fuel pricing analysis for energy commodities, customers pay a subscription fee for online access. The commodities are gasolines and distillates. EKOS focuses on the purchase price for fuel that our suppliers provide. We receive a file every morning around 6 am with every rack average for gasolines and distillates in the U.S. Those rack average prices are then uploaded to our EKOS software and are found in the DTN Rack Average Grid.

EKOS displays the following in the DTN Rack Average Grid:

- Effective Date
- DTN Product
- DTN Product Name
- Product Name
- Sub Product Name
- Rack City Name
- Price

# Platts Grid

The **Platts Grid** displays market benchmark prices published by S&P Global Platts. Unlike the DTN Rack Average Grid, which reflects average rack prices that suppliers charge at terminals, the Platts Grid provides **spot market prices** for gasolines and distillates across key U.S. trading hubs (such as the Gulf Coast, New York Harbor, Chicago, and Los Angeles).

Platts prices are widely used in fuel supply contracts as an **index**—suppliers often sell fuel at a markup or discount relative to a Platts posting. This makes the Platts Grid a valuable tool for tracking industry benchmarks and understanding how rack prices compare to market indexes.

**Key points about the Platts Grid:**

- Displays **spot market index prices** for gasolines and distillates.
- Published daily by **S&P Global Platts**.
- Used by suppliers and buyers as a **reference point for contracts**.
- Complements the DTN Rack Average Grid by showing market benchmarks instead of rack averages.
