# Service Part Categories

Create Service Parts Categories that make sense for your organization. Easily edit or delete categories as needed.

## Service Parts

The service parts list uses categories to help you quickly see your service parts. The following information is included on this grid:

- Part Number
- Name
- Category
- Manufacturer
- Manufacturer Part Number
- Description
- Unit of Measure
- UPC
- Unit Cost

To Create A Service Part, click the “Create Service Part” button in the top right=hand former of this page. Enter the following pieces of information before clicking save:

- Name
- Manufacturer
- Part Number: This part # is used to reference the part # assigned by your organization
- Manufacturer Part Number
- UPC (Barcode)
- Category
- Unit
- Unit Cost

## Service Tasks

Create service tasks to quickly add line items to Service Entries. Users can create a Service Task by selecting the action being done to the vehicle (verb) and item on the vehicle being serviced (noun). Once a verb and noun are selected, the Name and Description fields will auto populate with your selection. Please include a Service Code associated with the service task and Estimated Minutes to complete this task.

## Service Manufacturers

Add a service manufacturer to your EKOSystem. From this page you can create a new service manufacturer to use in your EKOSystem. When you begin typing in your new manufacturer, EKOS is going to show you a matching list of manufacturers from both our manufacturers and also our entire customer network. If you still are unable to find the exact manufacturer and that you’re looking for, then simply key in the entire manufacturer name as you want it listed, then click add. EKOS will attach that manufacturer to your EKOSystem. Once you add the new manufacturer, you will be able to create parts under that manufacturer. In addition, every EKOS customer will be able to utilize the new manufacturer you created if they also share a similar asset.

## Measurement Units

Create measurement units in EKOS and easily edit and delete submissions. Track measurement units by name, symbol, and description.

## Alarm Management Made Easy

EKOS is now an alarm management tool. Connect alarms to ATG’s, Gasboy, tanks, fleet reminders and fuel card alerts. Aggregate all your alarms into one portal. All alarms will be stored in one portal to help you keep track of items in the same place.

All your alarms can be managed from one portal. Aggregate all your equipment alarms in EKOS, create tickets, and send service orders to a technician.

Easy process of transferring tickets into service orders:

1. Verify – Tickets need to be verified to make sure that there really is a valid issue
2. Check Warranty – Once the validity is confirmed, check to make sure the equipment is under warranty. If it is, then you can immediately convert it to a service order
3. Quotes – If your organization requires a quote form a service company or confirmation on hourly rates, mileage, fees, etc… then you will need to get the quote in hand as soon as possible so you can dispatch the service order.

## **Tracking totals with Service Invoice**

The invoiced stage is the final stage in the workflow and shows all of the service orders that have invoices in the past 30 days. Key in your invoices and include all of the parts, labor, discounts, taxes, and more. This allows you to track the total service and repair dollars spent on a site, a piece of equipment, or the total amount.
