You can add parts to a warehouse and EKOS will show you the value of part on hand at one or more of your warehouses with new grids and reports. The Warehouse Grid displays the Warehouse Name, Type, Number, Description, Address, Tied to Vehicle and Unique Parts. In the EKOS Fleet Module there are now two new types of warehouses that you can create - Fixed Warehouse: this is a location with a physical address and can be thought of as a “bricks and mortar” facility. Most warehouses have a dedicated space for parts to be stored and typically feature a system of Aisles, Rows, and Bins to store and catalog parts. - Mobile Warehouse: this is a vehicle or mobile unit with the ability to store parts. Service technicians often travel with a certain number of parts on their truck so they can minimize the downtime of a fleet. In EKOS, a mobile warehouse works just like a fixed warehouse except EKOS has the benefit of being able to tie one of your actual vehicles in your fleet to be a mobile warehouse. ![image](media://8e99ca02-d143-4487-9910-40f5c27e6825) --- ## Add Warehouse ### *STEP 1* Select a warehouse type and enter general details. Warehouse types include mobile and fixed: - Mobile Warehouse: A mobile warehouse is a vehicle or mobile unit with the ability to store parts. Service technicians often travel with a certain number of parts on their truck so they can minimize the downtime of a fleet. Often this is referred to as their “truck stock” and technicians are usually responsible for tracking their mobile inventory and keeping their truck stock replenished. In EKOS, a mobile warehouse works just like a fixed warehouse except EKOS has the benefit of being able to tie one of your actual vehicles in your fleet to be a mobile warehouse. - Fixed Warehouse: A fixed warehouse is a location with a physical address and can be thought of as a “bricks and mortar” facility. Most warehouses have a dedicated space for parts to be stored and typically feature a system of Aisles, Rows, and Bins to store and catalog parts. After choosing which type, enter in a Warehouse Name, Number, and Description. If you chose a Mobile Warehouse, you could then choose which vehicle you want to tie that to. If you selected Fixed Warehouse, ignore this part of step one. If you have service trucks that keep a parts “stock” then you can setup the truck(s) as a Warehouse and choose the type to be “Mobile”. EKOS will treat the truck just like a fixed warehouse and track parts and the dollar value of your inventory on the truck. The difference is that EKOS can tie the warehouse to an actual vehicle listed in your fleet. Simply select a vehicle from the “tied to vehicle” dropdown and EKOS will make a link, so your vehicle becomes a mobile warehouse. Once you have created a warehouse, you can begin activating parts to be tracked at each warehouse. When you create a part you can enter the Aisle, Row, Bin, Current Inventory on Hand, and Reorder point specific for that warehouse. Get all your warehouse’s setup and let EKOS help you tabulate the total value of ALL parts you have on hand. ### *STEP 2* Address: Choose the type of address associated with this warehouse. There are two options here, you can either link this site to an existing address by choosing and address from the dropdown menu OR you can create a new address. After choosing the type of address associated with this warehouse, the GPS search will automatically populate. Click Create Warehouse to complete the set up. --- ## Warehouse Value Grid The Parts Warehouse Value Grid allows users to see all the parts in their entire portfolio and the total dollar value. This also displays the units on hand for your convenience. This also displays the trackable aisle, row, bin, reorder point, available quantity, unit cost and total value. These values are broken down into separate reports. ![image](media://7bf91977-f92a-48a7-945f-6b88380d2f0d) There are four reports broken down into the following sections: - Parts Value Summary & Detail Reports: These reports are for the whole parts portfolio telling you the total dollar value of all parts and the unique value seen by each part - Warehouse Value Summary & Detail Reports: These reports show the total summary of what is in the warehouse, and more specific details of where each part is located along with unit cost and total dollar value. --- ## Physical Count Tool In the physical inventory counts, you can select a specific warehouse to view the counts. The total number of trackable parts and those counted that day will be displayed at the top of the grid. EKOS will look back 24 hours for any physical counts made to parts at this warehouse to help you confirm if you have counted all the parts in the warehouse. You can also click to show the physical count ledger grid at the bottom of the page and EKOS will display all the physical counts made at this warehouse in the last 72 hours. Each time a row is entered in when adjusting inventory, EKOS automatically saves it, so you don’t lose your place. Physical count activity will be shown for the last 72 hours. Use this table to help confirm that each part at this warehouse has been counted. This tool is very useful if your counting process spans multiple days or if your physical count was paused or interrupted and you couldn’t resume within 24 hours. You can do physical inventory counts and make inventory adjustments at each warehouse through EKOS. This can be done through your phone, iPad, or physically printed. Easily adjust your on-hand inventory if anything gets damaged. You can also print a count worksheet if you want a physical copy to do your counts. ![image](media://514674fe-c158-43b7-a0b9-383983fdeb19) You can update your on-hand value by adjusting your inventory. Inventory adjustments provides the ability for a user to adjust the on-hand inventory level for a part up or down. When adjusted, EKOS allows you to apply a reason for adjustment for your records. EKOS will automatically assign an adjustment reason for each part that you enter an adjusted quantity.
