# Part Manager

The **Part Manager Dashboard** provides a comprehensive view of your inventory, helping you track and manage parts efficiently. This guide explains key sections and functionalities to optimize your inventory management.

## Key Sections:

### Summary Metrics

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find a quick overview of your parts inventory, including:

- **Active Parts:** Number of currently available parts in your inventory.
- **Nonstocked Parts:** Parts that are not regularly stocked but can be ordered when needed.
- **Stocked Parts:** Items that are routinely maintained in inventory.
- **Low Inventory Parts:** Parts that are running low and may need restocking.
- **Out of Stock Parts:** Items that are currently unavailable.

Each metric has a **View All** button that takes you to a detailed list of the corresponding parts.

### Active Parts List

This section displays a table with detailed information about active parts in your inventory. Key columns include:

- **Part Number:** Unique identifier for each part.
- **Description:** Brief details about the part.
- **Category:** Classification of the part for better organization.
- **Manufacturer:** Brand or company that produced the part.
- **Manufacturer Part #:** The part’s official number from the manufacturer.
- **Unit:** The measurement unit (e.g., each, box, set).
- **Unit Cost:** Price per unit of the part.
- **Warehouses:** Locations where the part is stored.
- **Total Available:** Number of units currently in stock.

### Managing Parts

- **Editing Parts:** Click the **Edit** button next to a part to modify its details.
- **Adding New Parts:** Click the **+ Create Part** button in the top-right corner to add a new part to your inventory.
- **Filtering & Searching:** Use the search boxes at the top of the table to quickly find parts by number, description, category, or warehouse.

### Best Practices for Part Management

- Regularly check the **Low Inventory Parts** section to avoid stockouts.
- Keep manufacturer details updated for easy reordering.
- Use the **Edit** button to adjust unit costs and warehouse locations as needed.
- Review stocked and nonstocked parts periodically to optimize storage.
