## How to Start an Inspection

To start an inspection, click "Create Inspection" from the Inspections menu.

From here, you will be asked to key in some basic details of the inspection, such as the asset number, inspection form being used, the asset's current location, a quick description, and an updated odometer / engine hours reading.

Before beginning the inspection, EKOS will let you add a "Quick Dispatch" to the inspection, which will assign the Inspection to one of your technicians in the system and schedule the inspection on the date you choose. This inspection will show up on the technician's login as part of their assigned work, with the scheduled completion date assigned at creation.
