# Overview

The **Dashboard** tab gives you a high-level overview of your fleet and quick access to detailed dashboards for every major area of the EKOS Fleet Module.

Because fleets and garages have many teams — mechanics, fleet managers, parts coordinators, inspectors, drivers, and administrators — EKOS provides dashboards that are role-focused and easy to navigate.

# **Main Fleet Dashboard**

When you click the **Dashboard** icon in the top navigation bar, you are brought to the **Main Fleet Dashboard**.

This page is a **summary dashboard** that pulls in the most important information from all other dashboards, including:

- Asset totals
- Completed work orders
- Overdue reminders
- Fleet up-to-date percentage
- Vehicle and equipment make breakdowns
- PM completion and compliance
- Work order cost data
- Department breakdowns


It is designed to show you the “big picture” of your fleet in one place.

If you only want an overall overview, this is the dashboard you will use most.

# **What Are Feature Dashboards?**

Across the top of EKOS, each icon represents a major feature of the Fleet Module:

- **Assets**
- **Inspections**
- **Work Orders**
- **PMs**
- **Parts**
- **Garage**
- **Vendors**
- …and more

Most of these features have their own dedicated **feature dashboard**.

A feature dashboard gives you a deeper, more focused view into that specific area.

### **Examples:**

- **Asset Dashboard** → details about your fleet, makes/models, usage, lifecycle, etc.
- **PM Dashboard** → upcoming PMs, compliance rates, overdue reminders
- **Work Order Dashboard** → open vs. closed work orders, costs, technician productivity


This lets each team or role drill down into their own piece of the fleet without being overwhelmed by data they don’t need.

# **Why EKOS Uses Multiple Dashboards Instead of One Massive Dashboard**

Many fleet systems combine everything into one huge, overcrowded dashboard.

EKOS takes a different approach because fleets have many specialized users.


### **This structure makes it easier for:**

- Mechanics to focus on **Work Orders**
- Parts managers to focus on **Inventory and Purchase Orders**
- Fleet managers to focus on **Assets and PM compliance**
- Safety admins to focus on **Inspections**
- District or organization leadership to look at **high-level fleet metrics**


Having multiple dashboards ensures that each role can find exactly what they need quickly without digging through irrelevant data.

# **Left-Side Dashboard Navigation**

On the left side of the screen, you’ll see the **Dashboard Navigation Menu**.

This menu lets you switch between dashboards easily.

### **For example:**

- Fleet Snapshot
- Lifecycle Cost
- Lifecycle Analysis
- PM Snapshot
- Work Order Dashboard
- And more, depending on your permissions

This menu allows you to jump from the main dashboard into the specific feature dashboards without going back to the top of EKOS.

# **How It All Works Together**

- **Top Navigation** = All major fleet features
- **Feature Dashboards** = Deep dive into each feature
- **Main Fleet Dashboard** = Roll-up summary of key information from every dashboard
- **Left Side Navigation** = Fast switching between dashboards inside the Dashboard section

This layout is designed for real-world fleet operations where many people do different jobs.
