# Drivers Grid

Manage your drivers from this grid. This will display all your drivers and associated details

## Add/Create Driver

### *STEP 1*

General Information: Create and authorize drivers by filling out these steps.

#### Driver Information

- Driver name: enter the name of the driver
- Driver number: the unique identifier assigned for this driver

#### Auth Information

- Fleet: The Fleet feature in Gasboy is designed to help you create groups of vehicles within your whole fleet. One of the key benefits of using Fleets is that assigning vehicles to fleets can allow administrators to control which fleets can fuel at certain private sites. For example, you may want it to where one “fleet” is not allowed to fuel at a certain site such as not allowing salespeople to fuel at a site that is reserved for emergency fuel. Another example for using the fleet feature is if you have departments or operating companies that have separate Profit and Loss responsibility which requires each fleet to be sanctified for reporting and accounting. If you do not want to use the Fleet feature, then EKOS will automatically default the fleet drop down box to “default fleet” which puts all vehicles in one common group.
- Department: The department feature allows you to choose which of your organization’s departments for which you would like to assign this vehicle. Using departments is an excellent way to improve reporting capabilities and statistics. If you have setup departments in the system, then they will appear in the dropdown.
- Auth Device: An Auth device type is literally a device that will allow a vehicle to be authorized to fuel at the Gasboy system.
- Restriction Rule Group: drivers can have certain rules applied to them
- Driver Auth #: Gasboy requires each driver to have an authorization number assigned to it. This will be what the Gasboy system uses to authorize a driver at the fuel site
- Custom Field: This field is 30 characters and can be used as a custom field

### *STEP 2*

Prompts & Validation: Choose how the driver gets authorized

#### Pin Code Information

- Use pin code: If toggled to require a pin code, the driver will be required to enter his/her pin code before fueling
  - Enter the pin code to be entered by the driver
  - Block if retries fails - toggle on or off
  - Pin Retries: The number of times a driver will be allowed to re-enter his/her pin. If 'block if pin retries fail' is checked, the driver will be blocked if the maximum number of retries is exceeded.

#### Expiration Information

The expiration date will be the date that the system will no longer authorize the vehicle. This field is defaulted to "no" so that all of your vehicles in the system will not expire. If you want vehicles to expire, select the Expiration by Date option.

Click Create Driver.
