# To “Retire” fuel site equipment

> ℹ️ *EKOS uses different equipment statuses to denote the lifecycle of a piece of equipment at your fuel site. *

1. Simply navigate to the piece of equipment you wish to update
  1. You can do this through the Fuel Site Equipment Grids, or by viewing the specific fuel site, and then the “Equipment” tab on the Fuel Site view page.
2. Click the “Update” pencil icon next to the piece of equipment listed in the grid
  1. **Helpful Tool: **User’s can filter the equipment grids by Site, Equipment Number, Equipment Description, and other fields to help quickly find the piece of equipment you are looking for
3. Use the Status dropdown to change the status of the equipment
  1. **Note: A status of “Retired” is synonymous with “Deleted”**
