# Create LAN Connection

To create a LAN connection, first hover over Fuel Sites > Equipment > Create LAN Connection

### *STEP 1*

Select the site and enter general information about the LAN connection. Fill out the following:

- Site
- Status
- LAN Name/Description
- IP Address: this is your publicly facing IP address that EKOS will use to connect to your equipment. Please contact your network administrator or I.T. Department to gather this information.

### STEP 2

Enter details about the com devices:

- IP Address: **Our Service Desk has labeled an IP address on the back of the EKOS Cellular Modem that EKOS will use to communicate to that device. Please enter that exact IP address in this field. If you are utilizing an in-house cellular modem, or a third party cellular modem that is not from EKOS, please enter the public IP address for the modem in this field. **
- Port

The site address, card readers at site, and monitors at site will be automatically populated as you fill in the above information. Click Create Com Device.
