# Create Inventory Monitor

### *STEP 1*

Choose a Fuel Site. First select a monitor type, there are two types of monitors to choose from in EKOS: Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) and Wireless Tank Gauge (WTG).  Then enter in the following information about your site:

- Site: select the fuel site you are creating the monitor for
- Status: this must be active to be visible
- Inventory Monitor Name
- Inventory Reading Protocol: Choose a method of data retrieval. This is the protocol EKOS will use to poll your inventory monitor. Please select Direct Polling if your monitor is connected through TCP/IP or Cellular. Otherwise, select the protocol that matches the monitor manufacturer.
- Manufacturer: equipment manufacturer
- Model Number
- Ownership
- Serial Number
- Any additional notes for your reference

### *STEP 2*

Create a link to a Com Device or a LAN connection. This device might be connected to a communication device. Here is where you create that link.

Click Create.
